Coach Romi Farrell

Coach Farrell has been teaching since 2008.  She started her career in Frisco ISD, where she taught Special Education English and was the Assistant Golf Coach for three years.  She moved to Lovejoy ISD as the Head Golf Coach for Lovejoy HS for three years.  She quickly came back to Frisco to open Reedy HS at the Head Golf Coach and general education English teacher in 2015.  In her coaching career she has been apart of 1 District Championship team, 2 team trips to Regionals, and 2 individual trips to Regionals. 

Coach Farrell started her golf career in at Arlington HS but later moved to Dublin, Ohio her junior year.  She won the individual Ohio High School Golf Champion, as well well, as the team championship her senior year.  She graduated high school in Dublin, OH in 2001 and went on to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill on a golf scholarship, where she majored in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus in Advertising. While at North Carolina, she was apart of two NCAA trips and was awarded many athletic accolades. 

She played professional golf on the LPGA Futures Tour for one season after graduating college in 2006.  Coach Farrell lives in Celina with her husband, Marty and two sons, Martin and Jack.

Coach Steve Purl

Steve graduated from Lindale High School in 1993 and earned his Bachelor of Science from Howard Payne University in 1998.  He played high school and college baseball. 

Steve has spent the last 11 years in Frisco ISD, with stops at Wester Middle School, Frisco High School, and Heritage High School. He spent 16 seasons as a baseball coach, but is coming to Reedy to pursue his passions of teaching history and coaching golf. He's been an avid golfer since high school and twice qualified for the U.S Mid-Amateur tournament. 

Steve's beautiful wife, Stacy, is a counselor at Wakeland High School. They have two boys.  Will is 4 and Wade is 1. The Purls enjoy being outdoors, spending free time camping, hiking, and hanging out at the lake.
